Ministers of God have again been charged to continue to develop and deepen their relationship with God, listen to His voice and study His word to be successful as Pastor.
The Spiritual Father and Chairman, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide Ayo ni ooo, His Grace Prophet Emmanuel Alogbo gave the charge in his keynote address while declaring open the 17th Pastor’s Convention themed “Good tidings” at Galilee, headquarters of the Church, Orile Igbon, Ogbomoso-Ilorin Expressway.
Prophet Alogbo who urged them to continue to make great impact in the Church and the world prayed that God would grant them wisdom, patience and love to serve as Pastors.
“As a shepherd, you have a great responsibility to care for the sheep, looking for the stray ones and bringing them back to the fold after hearing the good news of Jesus Christ”, the Spiritual Father noted.
The Baba Aladura charged the newly ordained Pastors to further the works in the Lord’s vineyard calling on them to be prepared to preach the word in season and out of season, correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction as instructed in 2 Timothy Chapter 4:2-3.
Prophet Alogbo also prayed that the rewards promised to all faithful servants would be granted to them as the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
On his part, the Conference Supervising Pastor and Pastors Advisory Committee Chairman, Pastor Folagbade Onafuye charged the Clerics not to relent in the spread of the gospel to unbelievers across the world.
Similarly, Bishop Sunday Adewole of the Diocese of Kwara Anglican Communion and Chairman, Kwara State Christian Association of Nigeria has urged parents and guardians to inculcate sound moral values on their children and wards in line with their creed as they resume the new academic calendar this week.
Bishop Adewole who said this today during the closing ceremony of the Sisters and Brothers Guild conference of the Diocese at All Souls Anglican Church, Fate/Tanke, Ilorin counselled parents to create time to always pray and mentor their children at the home front.
Speaking on the theme: ‘CONSENT THOU NOT’ with his anchor scripture from the book of Proverbs chapter one verse ten, the Bishop called on all the participants who are mainly students of primary, secondary and tertiary institutions to know the kind of friends they keep in their schools and move away from friends that can lure them into esoteric practises, ritual killings and money rituals as bad company ruins good morals.
