Mine is a case from the hindmost, yes, from the inconsequential grass that’s often trampled upon, but made garnished and showcased by human developers to the world as a glistering worthy enamel to behold.
God has been the bedrock of this enviable height, else, I would have ended a nonentity. He kept assuring me of brightness beyond the thick cloud, in spite of my many troubles, failures and impediments! Dear God, accept my praise.
My upward political journey received recognition when ‘Sokojigi’, Hon Taiwo Ojo Nathaniel announced my approval as a honourable P. A. to the former Commissioner of Education, late Mrs Grace Elebiyo. Situations had not been rosy thereafter, yet I knew brighter and better days would come.
I thank the number one citizen of this great State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for a rare privilege he has extended to me for a call to serve with him in the capacity of a Ward Special Assistant in his administration.
In your unbiased inclination, you have meticulously deemed me fit. I’m not only grateful but heralding it loud and clear this day that I shall faithfully and zealously discharge my assignment to you and the State with the whole of my heart, might and ability.
My special appreciation to my own brother who comprehends the nomenclature and wherewithal of education in Kogi State. Thanks sir, Hon Wemi Jones, FCIB. Your many contributions and roles are known and felt even in the Glass House, prompting the eagle-eyed Governor to enthrone you again as the unrivaled Commissioner for Education. Thank you so much sir.
Hon Taiwo Ojo Nathaniel is another dynamic and rational political juggernaut whose style lead one into a wonderland. You taught me to be resilient, to anticipate both good and bad, and to always possess a shock absorber spirit both in politics and in secular assignments. Thanks sir for your many roles; thanks also for that which I’m expressly awaiting from you.
There’s no hour of dull moment with Hon Seyi Bello since my acquaintance with him. He detests idleness and embrace industriousness. You are a human developer who spends time, money and energy to effect perfection upon all who come your ways. I can’t thank you enough.
My unalloyed gratitude goes to a father and brother who is capably saddled with the security administration of Kogi State, Cmdr Jerry Omodara. You are exceptionally one in a million; you stood firm for my limelight. I thank you sir for strongly believing in me.
Hon Moses is one with a difference: dogged and resolute in whatever he proposed to achieve. I have no adequate words to express my gratitude, but you stand reverenced now and always in my heart; thank you endlessly.
By providence, HRM, the OluOkebukun of Okebukun, Oba Timothy I Omonile who’s also my father, promised to link me up politically. I’m enjoying the benefit of your royal backing sir.
l say a big thank you to the APC Okebukun Ward. I also thank the staff and management of Romelfik Integrated Media, publisher of Kogi Updates and my ever supportive editorial team at Kogi Updates for their support always. A big thank to the erudite
Media teams of Wemi and Seyi Bello, we shall jointly climb higher .
Mrs Christianah Elisha; my better half, partner in the journey of life and my beautiful loving wife deserves a special thank you for always rallying round me. I also thank the Progressive Club and all Okebukun indigenes; we shall all reach our desired heights in life.
Words are insufficient and space would not permit me to echo the praises of eminent personalities. Yet let me say a special appreciation to leaders like elder Sunday Aiyeetan, Hon Hezekiah Ibiyomi, pastor J. F. Kolawole and elder MKO Adebisi for your love for me.
As I close, be assured that I shall not betray the confidence you all repose in me. I shall maintain a perfect representation in my jurisdiction. Thanks and God bless you.
Signed:
Hon Elisha Olatunji Emmanuel.
