A community leader and frontline APC stalwart in the State, Alhaji Abdulrauf Dan-Usman fondly called Senior Malaika, said the Supreme Court judgement, “resonates with the will of Kogites and is therefore a very welcome development.”
In a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja at the weekend, Senior Malaika stated that the people of Kogi State gave their mandate to Gov Usman Ododo because of their belief in his capacity.
“This is a well deserved judgement and it comes as no surprise since the people of Kogi willingly gave His Excellency their votes.”
He expressed belief in the all-inclusive leadership style of Gov Ododo stressing that Kogites will be the beneficiaries at the end of the day.
While stressing that the judgement has laid to rest further litigations and distractions that can clog the wheel of progress, the community leader urged Gov Ododo to continue his open door policy in order to meet up with the demands of the masses.
Senior Malaika also called on members of the opposition to see the recent judgement of the Supreme Court as a closure.
“This judgement is the highest as far as this country is concerned so anyone still nursing any anger concerning the election that brought in Gov Ododo is doing a disservice not only to the State but himself too.
“I therefore call on all who feel agrieved both within and without to join hands with the Governor in the mission to take Kogi State to her desired position,” he said.
