Ahmed Usman Ododo, the governor of Kogi State, has stated his main objective as the state’s chief security officer: to lead and prevail in the fight against criminals in the state.
At the official opening of the office building for the Nigeria Police, Kogi State Command’s Quick Response Unit, Governor Ododo made this statement.
Under the direction of Governor Ododo, the Kogi State Government built this facility in an astounding 90 days.
The governor made it clear that his administration is determined to relentlessly pursue criminal elements in order to completely eradicate them from the state, rather than just temporarily resolving security concerns.
As Governor Ododo himself put it, “My purpose is not merely to exert myself.” To defeat criminals is my goal here. Our efforts are focused on strengthening the state’s security infrastructure, and we are making great strides in the battle against insecurity.
Governor Ododo reaffirmed the administration’s unshakable commitment to fighting crime and guaranteeing the security of Kogi State’s citizens and property.
He pledged to use all available means to ensure everyone in the state is safe and secure.
The governor emphasized the Metropolitan Quick Response operation as a proactive step to strengthen security and expand on the solid groundwork established by Governor Yahaya Bello’s previous government.
He expressed gratitude for the dedication and selflessness of the state’s security services and promised to keep pushing technology development as a top priority in order to improve intelligence-gathering capacities and successfully counter new security threats.
Governor Ododo also praised President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering dedication to tackling national security issues.
He said that the Kogi State government and people fully supported the President’s efforts to take on terrorists and criminals around the nation.
